I’ve always been a bit of a dreamer. Growing up I wanted to be everything from a geologist to a song writer to my newest found goal of a journalist.
I’ve changed my hair colour, my outfits (sometimes as often as 3x a day), and my mind more often than it’s made up.
But, amongst all the chaos in my life, all the changes, all the new dreams and pathways that I have travelled, I have always known who I am.
I am my mothers daughter. From day one until year one hundred, I am made up of one million of her lessons and an infinity amount of her love.
I am strong because I have watched her carry the weight of the world on her shoulders and never stumble.
I am kind because she taught me that a smile is the best gift you can give someone.
I am honest because she showed me that as long as I am always truthful I can fix any fight and face any battle.
I am strong willed, because she is just as stubborn and bull-headed as I am and I learned it from her to stand my ground.
I am ambitious because she has always been in my corner, cheering me on and pushing me out of my comfort zones.
I am confident because I’ve received endless support, in every single way, since day one.
I am made up of all of the best parts of her and yet I don’t even begin to fill her shoes that I’ve followed all of my life.
Happy (belated) Mothers Day to the absolute best mom a girl could ask for.
It’s late because I’ve been too busy chasing my dreams, that at times seem too big too carry, until I look beside me and see that I’m not carrying them alone.
I love you forever and a day Momma.
