sink or learn to swim.

Everyday you are given choices. Sometimes they are simple choices like “what do you want to eat for breakfast?”, but other times they are hard choices like “what do you want to do for the rest of your life?” And most of the time, in fact almost always, you are not prepared for the big choices.

One day your going to wake up in the morning and its going to be a normal day and then in an instant your entire life could get turned upside down. You weren’t given a warning, God didn’t provide you with a manual, instead you are completely blind sided with absolutely no choice in the matter.

But, you do have a choice when these life changing decisions are thrown at you; sink or learn how to swim. Thats it. There is your only choice. You are completely on your own. You don’t have any “water-wings,” you definitely don’t have a life guard on duty, so now you test yourself. How much can you possibly handle? How many waves can you ride out? How long can you keep your head above water?

That my dear, is completely up to you. And the worst part about it is no body cares if you make it out alive. So you are on your own. It is your decision and your strength that will either get you out alive, or pull you under.

And if you choose to swim, and you make it out alive and you finally catch your breath… don’t be naive because another wave will come and it will twice as a hard as the last one and once again it will come without warning and you’ll be left struggling. But the best part is, that every time you make the decision to swim and fight, you come out stronger then you were before and you’re able to handle more, and you’re able to grow.
